While managing the immense workload of a new administrative entity and preparing for major events, the commune's government apparatus is operating at high intensity. The summary report on the socio-economic situation in August painted a comprehensive picture, showcasing the locality's remarkable efforts in resolving outstanding issues and advancing toward long-term goals.

Decisive Action on "Hot-Button" Fronts

One of Sông Hinh's top priorities and greatest challenges has been the management of natural resources, particularly land and forestry. The Commune People's Committee report reveals a zero-tolerance stance on violations. During the month, functional forces coordinated closely, conducting numerous patrols and inspections that uncovered and handled 12 related cases.

Notably, criminal proceedings were initiated for two serious deforestation cases with a total area of over 22,000 m² in sub-zones 313 and 314, demonstrating a firm resolve to prosecute offenders to the fullest extent. To tackle the problem at its root, the Economics Division is advising on the development of new coordination regulations for forest management and protection, aiming to create a stricter legal framework.

Concurrently, the management of land and construction order has also been tightened. The Economics Division is drafting a thematic resolution to submit to the Party Committee, indicating that this issue has been elevated to a new level of importance. The prompt prevention of two construction violations and the licensing of two other cases show the swift intervention of local authorities, aiming to bring construction activities into an orderly and compliant state.

Focusing on Public Welfare: From Environment to Health

Alongside tightening discipline, practical public welfare issues have received close attention. Facing the risk of a dengue fever outbreak, the Commune People's Committee issued two consecutive directives, launching a decisive environmental sanitation and larvae eradication campaign. As a result, the Health Center conducted two rounds of mosquito spraying at the outbreak's epicenter and organized direct communication sessions in 17 villages, with 730 households participating. These figures reflect the proactive and rapid response of the grassroots health system to public health threats.

The urban environment is also a key concern. The direct involvement of commune leaders in urging the Urban Environment Co., Ltd. to improve waste collection and tree care at the Central Market area shows an effort to enhance the quality of life and build a green, clean, and beautiful environment. Additionally, a comprehensive review of the public lighting system to repair and adjust operating hours seasonally not only ensures security and safety but also reflects a commitment to energy conservation.

Streamlining the Apparatus, Aiming for a Service-Oriented Administration

Operating under the new model presents numerous challenges in internal affairs. The report from the Culture and Social Affairs Division frankly pointed out obstacles in implementing labor contracts under Decree 111 and allocating staff positions for the Youth Union. This highlights the complexity of the transition process, requiring more detailed guidance from higher-level authorities.

On the other hand, the spirit of public service is being strongly emphasized. The Public Administration Service Center proactively worked with network providers to upgrade internet connectivity—a small but significant move to ensure smooth and stable service for citizens and businesses performing administrative procedures, especially in the context of promoting online public services.

Conference of Advanced Role Models: A Milestone in Shaping the Future

Amidst a demanding workload, the Sông Hinh People's Committee's proposal to the Standing Committee of the Party Committee to organize the first Conference for Honoring Advanced Role Models demonstrates a strategic vision. According to the proposal, the conference, scheduled for August 29, will not only review the patriotic emulation movement from 2020-2025 but, more importantly, will set the direction and tasks for the 2025-2030 period.

This will be an occasion to honor outstanding collectives and individuals and creative models that have had a strong influence in the community. With an expected 148 delegates, 70% of whom are advanced role models, the conference promises to be a convergence of real stories of real people, creating immense inspiration and motivation. The open, democratic selection process, prioritizing individuals with outstanding achievements in all fields—from economy and national defense to education, healthcare, and voluntary blood donation—reflects a comprehensive approach that values all contributions to society.

The conference will approve highly directive documents, including a summary report, the direction for the new period, and, crucially, a Conference Resolution—a document representing a political commitment to concretize goals and further advance the emulation movement.

Sông Hinh is at a pivotal stage. Difficulties and obstacles in operating the new apparatus are inevitable.
